These terms govern your use of the AthenaVita website, educational content, interactive assessments, calculators, downloads, and related communications.

Acceptance

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website. AthenaVita may revise these terms as the site changes.

Education—not medical care

Do not start, stop, or change medication, testing, nutrition, exercise, supplements, or other treatment based only on this website. For emergencies, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Assessments and calculators

Interactive tools provide educational summaries or estimates based on user-entered information and the limitations described on each page. MRS PREVENT™ is an AthenaVita educational assessment, not a validated cardiovascular prediction model and not the American Heart Association PREVENT calculator. No result establishes that you have—or do not have—a medical condition or a particular level of overall risk.

Permitted use

You may view, download, and print AthenaVita materials for personal, noncommercial education. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, remove attribution from, systematically scrape, or create derivative commercial products from the website or its materials without written permission.

You agree not to interfere with site operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; submit malicious code; use forms for spam, unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes; impersonate another person; or violate applicable law or another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

The website’s original text, design, branding, assessments, worksheets, graphics, and downloads are owned by or licensed to AthenaVita, PLLC and protected by applicable laws. AthenaVita™, HeartStrong Sessions™, and MRS PREVENT™ are used as AthenaVita brand identifiers. Third-party names and trademarks remain their owners’ property and do not imply endorsement.

Submissions and communications

You are responsible for information you submit and confirm you have the right to provide it. Do not send confidential patient information or personal medical information through general forms. A speaking or collaboration inquiry does not create a contract or engagement until the parties enter a separate written agreement.

Third-party content

Outside links, tools, products, and services are provided for convenience and education. AthenaVita does not control their availability, accuracy, privacy practices, terms, or content. A link is not necessarily an endorsement.

Accuracy and availability

AthenaVita aims to provide thoughtful, current information but does not warrant that every page is complete, error-free, continuously available, or appropriate for every person. Evidence and professional guidance change. Content or features may be revised, suspended, or removed without notice.

Warranty and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. AthenaVita, PLLC and its owner, contributors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages or losses arising from reliance on website content, inability to use the site, third-party content, or unauthorized access. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes not resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Arizona unless applicable law requires otherwise.
